Danielle O'Hayon

As we gather tonight to crown a new queen and continue the tradition of beauty with a purpose, I wish to express my gratitude and thanks to all who have made this a most rewarding experience for me.

To wear the Miss Jamaica World title is both a great opportunity and a wonderful experience.  I particularly enjoyed the visit to Nigeria, even though we were not able to complete the competition there, and the opportunity to interact with so many nationalities was a one in a lifetime experience.  These form part of the memories I will always cherish.

During the year, I had the opportunity of working with various charities, and especially the St. Patrick’s Foundation, as well as supporting the efforts of our national airline in its continuing promotion of our beautiful country.  It was too, a personal pleasure to have served as “ambassador” at the successful staging of the World Netball Championships here in Jamaica.

I come to the end of my reign with a full sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.  My special thanks to the organizers for having afforded me this opportunity, my chaperone, family and friends for their support and of course to all Jamaica for making this a memorable lifetime experience.
