Life Ambition: Life has many different aspects but my overall ambition is to use what I have been given and what I have acquired to make a positive change in the world. On a personal level, I hope to experience as much as I can of different cultures with continuation of my language studies and on a wider scale it is my ambition to go out into the world and try to give back.
Five Year Plan: In five years I hope to have finished my dual degree in Business Law and Film. I eventually want to work in those fields hopefully doing children’s films but before that I plan to have travelled extensively and have lent myself to at least a year of community service, representing Jamaica all the way of course.
Will Most Enjoy About The Pageant: I think I will most enjoy the training that will be received in etiquette and grooming. I will also enjoy visiting the various places.
Most Want to Meet: I would most like to meet Barrack Obama. Obama seems like a very interesting character and I respect the historical significance of his campaign. He is breaking barriers that many of us would like to see broken and opening doors for future generations. I would love to meet him to ask him specific questions on not only his policies and principles but how to make a change and impact the world in a big way.
Most Unusual Thing Done: I think the most unusual thing I have ever done was to go bullfighting in Spain, I mean I did not just watch I actually fought the bull! My friend and I were the only girls brave enough to volunteer and we initially expected a tutorial on how to fight but to our surprise the instructor just opened the gate and the bull flew at us! It was such an adrenaline rush and although I spent the first couple minutes in the ring in terror, I soon got the hang of it. The best part was seeing the videos and pictures of how bewildered I look.
Proudest Life Moment: The proudest moment of my life was actually receiving my first university acceptance letter. It represented a huge milestone in my life and was proof to me that hard work does pay off.
All Countries travelled to: I have travelled to the USA, Spain, England, Mexico, the Bahamas and Cuba.
Personal Statement: As a strong believer of the saying “to whom much is given, much is expected” I find myself to be a passionate, vivacious, intelligent young lady striving to be the change I want to see in the world. I enjoy the simple things life has to offer, from a good laugh to good food to a sunset. I love to learn and I love to live and I have a passion for languages and the arts in particular. I am currently in pursuit of a film and business law degree with minors in Spanish, German and Dance and I hope to use my education for positive impact, particularly for youths in disadvantaged communities. I believe that the beauty of this country will eventually conquer the negatives and restore it and it is my mission to contribute to this cause.
