A Most Intelligent winner and 1st runner up in the 1997 Mini Miss Jamaica Competition, Alicia carried that early discovered intelligence trait into high school where she was captain of the Rusea’s High School Debate Team.
Her Tertiary level education was completed in Ontario Canada where she has resided since the age of fifteen. She describes herself as a pretty laid back individual whose life’s ambition is to leave some sort of impression on the world.
She wants to make a difference to at least one person. Her 5 year plan is to live in some remote part of the world bringing the message of hope and faith to persons who most need it. She most wants to meet Nelson Mandela who she describes as a beacon of hope and inspiration. His sacrifice and action gave hope to an entire nation.
Her proudest moment was conquering her fear of the dark. Alicia hopes the pageant will bring her new friends, new experiences and expose her to different parts of Jamaica.
Personal Statement: Her favourite quote is from the author of “Night” Elie Wiesel “ It is not hatred that kills people, it is the indifference” her wish is for a better Jamaica, but it must start with the people. |
