The exquisite property of Grand Palladium Resort & Spa will be the venue for the staging of this year’s Miss Jamaica World (MJW) Model Fast Track Competition sponsored by Soft Sheen Carson.
The 1056 rooms, 5 star, property will not only be hosting the fast track competition on Friday July 31 starting at 9.30 pm but will also be treating the 18 Miss Jamaica World finalists, their chaperones and a media crew to a true Grand Palladium holiday weekend of royal treatment, great hospitality, fun and relaxation. The MJW ambassadors will be afforded the opportunity to mix and mingle with the resort’s guests allowing for the guests another great chance to experience our people, our talents and true Jamaican warmth
As part of the MJW Model Fast Track competition, The Grand Palladium Resort guests will be encouraged to vote for the contestant of their choice. Their votes will be part of the official judging process and will assist in the selection of the winner. The winner will automatically be fast tracked as a top 10 finalist in the upcoming Miss Jamaica World Coronation show to be held at the Jamaica Pegasus, August 22.
Having the tough task of picking the winner of the Model competition will be Mrs. Viviana Bentacur Gonzales wife of Grand Palladium’s Resort and Spa’s General Manager, MJW’s pageant committee members and former models, Weston Haughton of Sandals International and Bev Corke of Port Royal Fashions. Mr. Axel Stefan Gonzales - GM, will act in the capacity as non-voting chairman.
Promoting Jamaica’s tourism is one of the many obligations of being Miss Jamaica World; to assist with that preparation the “Grand Palladium Holiday” itinerary will include an address by a leading tourism personality on the importance of Tourist Trade to Jamaica’s Economy.
To facilitate the many pageant fans, family members and well wishers who want to be a part of this experience, the resort has designed a special rate of US $109 all inclusive per person, double occupancy per night starting from Thursday July 30 – August 1.
