Terri-Karelle Griffith appointed General Manager of Spartan
Mr. Mickey Haughton-James, Managing Director of the Spartan Health Club, has announced the appointment of Dr. Terri-Karelle Reid (nee Griffith) as General Manager of Spartan Health Club the fitness centre which also stages the national Miss Jamaica World Pageant. In announcing the appointment at a welcome reception held at the club on Monday October 5 to announce the appointment, Mr. Haughton-James fondly referred to Dr. Reid as his “… beloved daughter in whom I am well pleased”. He praised the 2005 Miss Jamaica World winner for the impressive organizational skills she had demonstrated as Pageant Director of the 2006 Miss Jamaica World Pageant and later as Director of Public Relations at RISARC Health Care, LLC in Los Angeles, CA. She was enthusiastically welcomed by both club members and staff.
Dr. Reid will be responsible for the daily operations of the club, as well as, developing marketing and promotional strategies. She will also be responsible for the organizing and staging of the annual Miss Jamaica World Pageant.
Dr. Reid graduated with a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Universidad Central de Las Villas, Cuba in June 2007.
